An audit or review of your financial statements can be a valuable process.  Typically, businesses have an audit or review performed when required by a lender or regulatory agency.

Schlottman CPA's is qualified to provide audit and review services.  We prefer to make the process an opportunity to learn about and improve your business, rather than simply an exercise to fulfill a requirement.

bulletSubstantive testing is performed to provide us adequate basis for our opinion
bulletThe highest level of assurance on financial statements available
bulletTypical customer:  Non-profit receiving federal financial assistance, borrowers of sums in excess of $1 million

Reviews

bulletNo opinion is given, however negative assurance is provided ("nothing came to our attention....")
bulletIncludes analytical procedures applied to account balances
bulletA middle level of assurance, less costly than an audit
bulletTypical customer:  Small businesses with revolving credit lines in excess of $500,000

The lowest level of financial statement service provided by CPA's is called a Compilation.
